Almost two years after his return to Milan, Marko Arnautovic is certainly experiencing his best moment wearing the Inter shirt. The Austrian forward, who started yesterday evening’s match for the first time this season, repaid Simone Inzaghi’s trust by scoring a header to make it 2-1. His performance garnered praise not only from the Inter coach, but also from Italy’s leading sports newspapers.
Here are the player ratings for Arnautovic after the match Inter-Monza:
LA GAZZETTA DELLO SPORT 7 – Scored the decisive goal of the evening, making the score 2-1 just before halftime. He had already come close with another header earlier. He may be a bit cumbersome, but he’s making a difference.
CORRIERE DELLO SPORT 7 – After the header worth three points against Fiorentina, he uses his head again, first going close and then netting just at the end of the first half.
TUTTOSPORT 6.5 – The second header is the good one and wakes up Inter. With the first effort, Turati made a good save.
PASSIONE INTER 6.5 – He works hard to bring teammates into play and comes very close to a nice headed goal, denied by an excellent Turati save. Finds the net with his second chance. Drops slightly in the second half, although continuing to move around a lot.
