Bastoni after the derby: «The approach was wrong, Inter must be earned every day»

At the microphones of RAI Sport, Bastoni does not hide his disappointment over the defeat in the derby with Milan. The words of the Nerazzurri defender, who had scored the goal that temporarily closed the gap, are clear and without excuses.

“What happened is that we completely got our approach wrong, the intensity with which we entered the field — said the defender —. The only thing I want to say is that Inter must be earned every day; we have worked so hard to bring it to this level, so nothing should be taken for granted. We have to work every day to keep the level high without taking anything for granted.”

Asked about the team’s attitude, Bastoni was clear: “Nothing, I made a general statement in which I include everyone. I absolutely did not like the attitude, it was not suitable for an evening like this, but football gives us the chance to react immediately.”
