According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Provedel will still be the starting goalkeeper tomorrow in Venice, with Martinez set to come on in the derby. A planned rotation that also involves other departments, given the two matches scheduled very close together.
In defense, the central block should be confirmed at the Penzo: Bastoni, Bisseck, and Akanji are ready to play both games, also because Bastoni will then be suspended for the match against Feyenoord. On the left there is still a doubt: Dimarco could take the field both tomorrow and Saturday, but the choices are not obvious considering the performance of Carlos Augusto as a wing-back.
In midfield, Zielinski is warming up for the playmaker role, with Sucic a candidate for a spot as a mezzala. Barella is another player who could play both matches, while it is still to be evaluated how many opportunities Spence will have on the right wing.
In attack, tomorrow in Venice the tandem should be composed of Bonny and Esposito, with Thuram returning as a starter in the derby.
