The home defeat leaves a bitter taste, but the focus is already shifting to the next challenge. Ruben Amorim, speaking to DAZN, commented on Milan‘s loss against Bologna at San Siro and gave a preview of how he intends to approach Saturday’s derby against Inter.

“The energy was missing, as was the condition, there was a bit of tiredness, and there were some absences on the field. We pushed forward, we tried to equalize with Camarda. But precisely due to a lack of energy and the many matches being played at the moment, we are struggling from that point of view,” explained the coach.

On the availability front, Amorim left every assessment open: “Tomorrow we will understand which players will be available for the next match. We will try to prepare as best as possible even though there isn’t much time.” Among the uncertainties is Tomori, who according to the coach suffered a physical problem during the match.

“Many injuries, but Milan has not been consistent from the start: injuries are not an excuse, but in two months it’s not easy to put all the coach’s requests on the field. Consistency over 90 minutes makes the difference and that is still missing,” added Amorim, who then admitted he sensed a drop in intensity compared to previous outings from the very first minutes.

“We will try to be ready for the match against Inter and we will try to bring out the energy that was missing tonight. I want a team that always tries and improves one game at a time. It’s useless to talk about the performance if we lost at home: let’s look to the next match with optimism and try to improve,” concluded the Rossoneri coach.
