From London, on the sidelines of the Ballon d’Or ceremony organized by France Football, Figo answered some questions to DAZN’s microphones, ranging from the most prestigious football award to the upcoming derby.
On the winner of the trophy, the former Portuguese striker did not take sides: “Who deserves the Ballon d’Or the most? A great football evening. All the candidates deserve the award: it’s hard to decide. They should all win for different reasons, it’s difficult to choose just one.”
Asked about Inter led by Chivu, Figo said he always follows the club: “I have it in my heart. Chivu is a good friend and I always wish him the best.” When asked about the derby scheduled for Saturday evening, the answer was clear: “Forza Inter.”
The former Nerazzurri player then concluded with a direct greeting to the fans: “Hello everyone, I love you.”
