Inter has identified Cristian Romero as the ideal reinforcement for the defense. The Argentine meets all the characteristics that the Nerazzurri club and Cristian Chivu have been seeking for some time. Tottenham’s decision to open up to a sale and the player’s desire to return to Italy could facilitate the operation, even though the Spurs value the player at around 50 million euros.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the potential impact of the Argentine would justify an exception to the so-called 25 million rule. This is not an absolute constraint: Oaktree has already granted waivers in several circumstances. Now it could be Romero‘s turn.
In the future, another exception could concern Jones, a target considered a priority by Chivu. In any case, the final green light will be up to the ownership.
