No good news arrives regarding Inter’s transfer market, following the latest discussions initiated by Real Madrid. The Spanish club is, in fact, reportedly exploring another option for the future of Nico Paz, despite the strong interest already expressed by the Nerazzurri on various occasions.
According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Argentine playmaker might remain in the Italian league by continuing to wear the Como jersey. The Lombard club has already been in contact with Florentino Perez, trying to secure the services of the 2004-born player for next season as well.
It is true that Como fully owns Nico Paz’s registration after acquiring him on a permanent basis. However, it should be noted that Real Madrid retained—besides holding the rights to 50% of any future resale—no fewer than three buy-back clauses, which may be exercised over the next three transfer windows. The Italian club even tried to renegotiate these conditions with Los Blancos, but were met with an uncompromising refusal.
From this point, significant pressure has been exerted primarily by Fabregas, attempting to persuade Real Madrid not to activate their initial €8 million buy-back clause, thus allowing Nico Paz to stay another year with Como and postponing his return to Spain by one more season. Such a scenario would considerably complicate the plans of Inter in their pursuit of the Argentine player.
