After yesterday’s final training session, Simone Inzaghi has definitively made up his mind regarding the starting lineup for tonight’s big match in Bergamo between Atalanta and Inter. The Nerazzurri coach has, above all, resolved the team’s main doubt from recent days, selecting Pavard as the third defender instead of Bisseck, who will start from the bench.
Despite last-minute efforts, Inzaghi will not have Stefan de Vrij available. The Dutch center-back suffered knee inflammation during warm-up before the match against Inter-Feyenoord and has not been able to recover in time for the fixture against Atalanta. As a result, Bisseck will be the only senior team central defender available on the bench tonight.
To numerically compensate for multiple absences across defense and wide positions, the Inter coach has decided to call up four Primavera youngsters: Aidoo, Cocchi, Berenbruch, and Alexiou. The latter, born in 2005, is a central defender who has significantly stood out this season for Inter’s Primavera side. Aside from de Vrij, also unavailable will be Zalewski, Darmian, Dimarco, and Zielinski.
