The market for Rafik Belghali is becoming more complicated as the end of the summer window approaches. The Algerian international, linked to several Serie A clubs, has yet to find a definitive solution to leave Hellas Verona.
According to Le Courrier d’Algerie, Roma had shown strong interest in the winger and seemed ready to make an offer. Inter had also considered the player’s profile, but both teams then chose other paths, investing higher amounts than the value of Belghali. Napoli and Milan had also monitored the situation but did not reach an agreement.
The latest reports from Italy mention clubs with different objectives: Torino, Sassuolo, and Venezia remain options on the table, but represent less ambitious destinations compared to the initial ones. The interest from the big clubs has not turned into a concrete offer.
Complicating matters is Verona’s position, as they would prefer to sell the player outright rather than loan him out. An inquiry from Olympique Marseille for a temporary transfer was reportedly rejected. Furthermore, the gap between demand and offer remains wide: the interested clubs do not want to exceed 7 million euros, while Verona is asking for up to 12.
For now, Belghali remains a Serie B player. With only a few days left before the market closes, no destination seems close enough to guarantee his departure.
