Pio Esposito and Inter will continue together. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, after several weeks of negotiations the parties have reached an agreement for a renewal until 2031. The striker’s salary will increase from one million euros to 2.5 million net per season, a significant increase that demonstrates the club’s trust.
Despite offers from other clubs, neither Inter nor the player ever considered the possibility of a separation. Esposito has always shown gratitude towards the Nerazzurri club, which welcomed him as a child and shaped him as a professional footballer.
In his first full season in Serie A, the striker scored 15 goals between club and national team. Now, while Lautaro and Thuram are regaining optimal form after their post-World Cup vacations, he is ready to start as a regular in the upcoming championship.
During the summer preparation he did not score, except for the first test against the amateurs of Aasen. The work done during training camp was nonetheless aimed at reaching the best condition for the league debut scheduled for next Saturday.
