The first seasonal appointment for Inter in the Coppa Italia: the Nerazzurri will take the field on Thursday, December 19 at 9:00 PM in the match valid for the round of 16. The match is scheduled at San Siro against Udinese, fresh from success in the second round against Salernitana after having already eliminated Avellino last August.
For Simone Inzaghi’s team, given their league position last season, this is their first official match in this Coppa Italia. In view of Thursday evening’s match, the Aia has issued the official assignments today that will see referee Luca Massimi leading Inter-Udinese.
Bresmes and Di Iorio will support Massimi on the field, accompanied by the Fourth Official Colombo. Ghersini has been appointed as the VAR, while Paganessi will be the AVAR of the match.
There are only two previous instances between referee Massimi and Inter, both in Serie A. The first concerns the comfortable 3-0 victory at San Siro against Sampdoria on October 29, 2022. The second, however, was the harsh defeat last season against Sassuolo 1-2 at Meazza, with goals from Bajrami and Berardi overturning Dumfries’s lead.
