According to Corriere dello Sport, Alberto Gilardino is considering Abdoulaye Ndiaye for a starting spot in the three-man defense of Parma ahead of the away match at San Siro against Inter. The Senegalese defender has played only one match so far this season, the one against Cagliari, and has remained on the bench in the following games.

The coach was able to observe him closely in the friendly match against Entella. With Valenti sidelined for disciplinary reasons related to a tough confrontation with Cuesta in recent weeks, a reliable player is needed for the left center-back role in the new three-man defensive setup. Ndiaye has the right characteristics to fill that position.

The newspaper highlights how the defender could have a good chance of starting from the first minute already in the match at San Siro. Gilardino has also expressed words of appreciation towards him, a sign of the trust the coach places in the player’s qualities.
