At the end of Inter–Fiorentina 2-1, Lavelli answered questions at the Dazn microphones, commenting on the victory at San Siro and his role in the match.
Regarding the penalty that helped determine the outcome of the match, the player admitted he did not understand at the time what the referee had whistled for: “Decisive in the penalty? We didn’t understand on the field what he had whistled for, the important thing is that we won the match.”
Asked about Thuram, Lavelli gave a quick profile: “He is someone who jokes a lot.” On the conversation with Chivu, he then explained the instructions he received before taking the field: “I didn’t talk to him, I tried to do my best and I hope I did. Chivu told me to position myself in the center with Bonny and Thuram wide.”
Finally, regarding his personal growth, Lavelli clarified that he does not have a single model to look up to among his teammates in the same position: “I try to learn a bit from everyone, I don’t have a single point of reference. They are four phenomenal players, I try to take something from each of them.”
