Jovetic promotes Como and sees Inter as the favorite

Steven Jovetic was present at Viola Park on the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of Fiorentina. The former Inter striker, currently playing for a Cypriot team, made some statements touching on various topics related to Italian football.

The Montenegrin spoke about Como led by Fabregas, his friend: “He is doing great things. I don’t rule out that they could compete for the Scudetto, even though at the moment Inter seems the strongest to me, with Roma also capable of doing well. But I immediately put Como up there. They have an excellent coach, strong and young players, they have a mix and are doing great things. If they won the Scudetto it would be great,” said Jovetic.

On the Italian teams involved in the Champions League, the former player expressed confidence: “They can do well and it’s been a long time since an Italian team has won or at least done great things. I hope so. I am fond of Italy and I always follow the Italian teams.”

During the interview, Jovetic also revealed who his childhood idol was, naming Shevchenko. Finally, on Messi’s farewell to the Argentine national team, he commented: “We should be happy to have seen what he has done for so many years. He has been one of the most important players in history and we will be sad when he stops playing football. For me, he was the best player at the World Cup and this shows eternal class, that age doesn’t matter.”
