Okatree’s market dictate is clear: Inter must look for promising young players to lower the team’s average age and try to develop in-house talent. Between January and the summer, the Nerazzurri club will in fact seek to increase the number of young players at Simone Inzaghi’s service to rejuvenate the squad.
The club has a keen eye on the defensive department to uncover new talents. By the end of the season, at least one of Acerbi and De Vrij should leave the team to allow the development of a younger central player.
According to GOAL Brasil, Inter is on the list of teams following Vitor Reis. He is a central defender born in 2006 who is considered one of the most promising in the entire Carioca scene and could have been one of the unexpected players scouted by Dario Baccin in his South American expedition over the past few weeks.
Vitor Reis’s tag is owned by Palmeiras, the team that raised him and does not want to let him go already this winter. The Brazilian society does not want to let go of its talent lightly as it has included in his contract a rescission clause of about 100 million euros. Other big clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also tracking him.
