Chivu admits concern about the approach and takes responsibility

Cristian Chivu expressed some concern about the start of the match after the 5-3 victory against Udinese. Speaking to Inter TV, the Nerazzurri coach analyzed the team’s performance, focusing on the initial approach and the ability to react to being two goals down.

“I am a bit worried about the approach in the first few minutes but I take responsibility because maybe I didn’t make myself clear enough. The Champions takes away energy, but I also take the good things we did, responding to two punches taken and turning it around after the break,” said Chivu.

The coach then broadened the discussion to the team’s growth path: “I look at the team’s growth path, the journey, I saw many good things, even last year, achieving two objectives. There is room for improvement, I am happy, I can give everyone the right amount of playing time and I appreciate the players’ willingness to understand these things, how they make themselves available, we are not perfect and maybe we never will be in the future.”
