Inter finalized the signing of John Stones on a free transfer last night, strengthening their defensive department. But the Nerazzurri’s defensive market does not stop here: according to Sky Sport, the club continues to work on Cristian Romero, for whom Tottenham is asking around 40 million euros.
On the financial front, the Argentine currently earns 6.5 million plus bonuses at Spurs and has informed Inter that he wants the same salary. This is a request that the Nerazzurri club is evaluating within the overall framework of their defensive operations.
The strategy is to first complete the arrival of Stones, then monitor the evolution of the situation related to Benjamin Pavard. Only afterwards will management decide whether to make a move for Romero, who represents the second defensive reinforcement in Inter’s plans.
