The negotiations for the contract extension of Carlos Augusto are entering a crucial phase. According to what Romano reported on his YouTube channel, Inter has significantly improved its offer and aims to finalize the agreement by the Christmas holidays.
“Regarding Carlos Augusto, we can confirm our previous reports, namely that Inter wants to close the deal by Christmas. Contacts are constant and frequent. Inter is very confident and has significantly improved its previous offer; now the proposal is around 3.5 million euros plus bonuses to approach four million.”
Romano then explained the philosophy that Oaktree intends to apply to the club’s contract renewals: “Performance and appearance bonuses will increasingly be a feature of Inter’s renewals under Oaktree, which wants to introduce this kind of system, that is, to raise the amount if and when certain conditions are met.”
The full-back has been among the most prominent players in this first part of the season. “Carlos Augusto is one of the protagonists of this start to the season for Inter, showing a great level. The renewal is getting closer, the numbers are rising.”
