Sandro Mazzola takes a stand against the controversy that has hit the FIGC in recent hours. The former star of the Grande Inter called the uproar surrounding Andrea Pirlo “hypocritical” regarding the decision not to give him the Italy coaching job.
According to the former Nerazzurri champion, as reported by Tuttosport, numerous football clubs maintain commercial relationships with companies in the betting sector. For this reason, it is not fair to expect the former midfielder to take on responsibilities that politics itself does not address.
While defending Pirlo in the case related to Fonbet, Mazzola revealed that, if the choice of the new head coach had been up to him, he would have opted for Silvio Baldini.
