The arrival of John Stones at Inter has deeper roots than what has emerged in recent days. Explaining the behind-the-scenes of the deal is Alfredo Pedullà, a market expert, who spoke in his latest video on YouTube.

“When the day before Stones was strongly linked to Juve, it was necessary to hold back and understand that it wasn’t something reliable,” said Pedullà. “Inter had been in the picture for fifteen days when no one was talking about it: when it seemed like a UFO, Inter had already taken down the license plate number.”

The expert then clarified why the Nerazzurri closed the deal and not the Bianconeri. “He was offered to Juve, but it’s impossible for Inter to squander an advantage accumulated over the previous 14 days,” he explained. The deal, completed for 4 million plus bonuses for a starter from Manchester City, represents according to Pedullà “a sensational coup” that increases the gap with Juventus at the defensive level.

Finally, an important note on the future of Inter’s defense. “There is still the will to try until the end to get Romero, which is not an unrelated matter,” concluded Pedullà. “You didn’t sign Stones in order not to sign Romero.”
