The agent Federico Pastorello, speaking during the Speciale Calciomercato on Skysport, gave an update on the future of Francesco Acerbi, a defender who is a free agent after his contract with Inter expired.
«Beyond this, I believe that Acerbi could be useful to all Serie A clubs, from the small ones to the big ones. After his journey with Lazio and Inter, expectations are very high despite his advanced age. This is very legitimate, I think. I have my own opinion on certain things but obviously clubs have their own logic and issues with squad overcrowding,» said the agent.
Pastorello then added: «When managing a champion like Acerbi, the only thing you must not have is haste because you risk making rash decisions when in two weeks you could be playing for the title. To be honest, Sassuolo is the only non-top team he would have considered because at Sassuolo he experienced a life change and has wonderful memories. Sassuolo is something special for him».
The central defender therefore remains free to consider various offers, with the club from Emilia representing an appealing option for personal reasons linked to the player’s past.
