Last night’s Inter left its mark against Cagliari, according to Massimo Mauro, who spoke to the microphones of Pressing. The former footballer emphasized how the Nerazzurri delivered a show of strength that left little room for criticism, despite some reservations about the second-string players.
“When Inter makes changes, they bring on players who are not just reliable, but more than that,” said Mauro. “Then, of course, if they score 4 goals every match, they’ve already won before playing: at least it leaves us the pleasure of saying there’s something not quite right.”
The Nerazzurri team dominated the match, creating numerous chances. “Because yesterday, guys, it was impressive: in the first half they could have scored 5 goals and in the second 3-4,” continued the former footballer. “They risked a little, but the goalkeeper made an extraordinary save and is good with his feet. Calhanoglu’s goal is a masterpiece.”
Mauro then commented on Pio Esposito: “Pio Esposito needs to free himself a bit from the defender in the box, he shouldn’t fight a war: he needs to score goals; if he wants to do that, he needs to understand how to get a yard ahead of the defender in the box.”
