The official response from Viale della Liberazione reported today by Tuttosport is negative: Inter will not make any moves in the final hours of the transfer window. However, the Italian champions remain alert to any opportunities that may arise before 8 p.m. tomorrow evening.
The focus remains on a fifth striker with different characteristics compared to the other players in the squad. They are looking for a profile with qualities similar to those of Lookman, someone capable of beating his man, creating numerical superiority, and changing the outcome of a match that already seems decided.
Inter has the necessary space in the squad: currently, the UEFA list consists of 24 players, so there would be no need for a chain of transfers involving the sale of potential surplus players to complete the operation.
