Inter keeps winning, but according to Graziani, there is still a fundamental piece missing. The former striker spoke about it in the studios of La Domenica Sportiva, returning to a topic he has been repeating to the Nerazzurri management for some time.
“All the great teams have a player who can dribble, and Inter is missing that: for two years I have been advising Marotta and Ausilio to find one, it’s needed if the match doesn’t open up. For now, they still haven’t found one or maybe they’re not seriously considering it,” said Ciccio Graziani, commenting on the victory on Cagliari’s field.
The analysis then shifted to Pio Esposito, a protagonist at this stage of the season. “To improve, he needs to play: I’m afraid that if Thuram returns, he’ll go back to being a luxury alternative, but still an alternative,” explained the former footballer.
“He already carries a lot of weight and responsibility: playing for Inter is not easy but he has managed to earn the trust of his teammates and the fans. If Thuram returns, Pio will go a bit back into the background: he’ll go back to being an extraordinary alternative,” Graziani concluded.
