Inter once again starts with the status of favorite for the title, but according to Mauro Bressan, they need to watch out for two teams in particular. The former footballer, speaking to TMW Radio, identified Roma and Como as the main rivals of the Nerazzurri in the race for the Scudetto after the first few matchdays.
“Starting from the premise that it’s still early, but at the moment Roma and Como can give Inter a hard time,” began Bressan. The former midfielder then went into more detail about the Giallorossi: “Roma has shown that they are in good physical condition. It’s a different team compared to last year, they started off with a bang, with a different Dybala, a different squad, different quality. For me, the team that has improved the most in terms of play is Roma.”
Words of praise also for the Lombard side: “Como is the surprise, they always have a recognizable style of play, they had an extraordinary Champions League debut. I really like their style of play. The only problem they might have is mental; if they stay focused, they are dangerous for everyone.”
Despite the merits of the chasers, Bressan confirmed the Nerazzurri’s role as the main candidate: “Now we’ll see what happens with Roma-Inter, but Inter still has better potential. They need to be careful at the back, because up front they know that every time they go forward, they score. Inter still has a goalkeeper to be tested, and they have incredible room for improvement. When everything is in place, just imagine what they’ll do.”
