Andrea Ranocchia expressed his opinion on the arrival of John Stones at Inter. The former Nerazzurri defender made statements to Sport Mediaset, highlighting the quality of the transfer deal completed by the Milanese club.

“It’s a great signing, a player with a lot of experience who has won six Premier Leagues and a Champions League. He was coached for many years by Pep Guardiola and players trained by such a strong coach definitely give you something extra, as we have seen with Manuel Akanji,” said Ranocchia.

The English defender arrives in Milan on a free transfer, a formula that Inter has successfully exploited in recent seasons. “In recent years, Inter has been getting all the free transfers right, and I think he can be an important piece because he will strengthen a defense that has lost Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij,” added the former Nerazzurri player.

Ranocchia then analyzed the technical characteristics of the center-back coming from Manchester City. “He can do well and fit in well with the squad: he’s good at building play, he has a great physique. He will be a great signing for Inter,” he concluded.
