Inter will be back soon to invest significant amounts in the market, and this is no secret for a few weeks now. The black-and-blue club is ready to turn the page with the push of Oaktree and open a new era made of important signings and young talents to be valued.
Already from this summer, as written in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, we will have to get used to seeing large amounts circulating on the incoming market of the black-and-blues again. Fewer free agents compared to what happened in recent years, but above all more signings worth 20-25 million euros.
In concrete terms, there is an example that better than any other explains how Inter’s strategy will concretely change. If last summer the club managed to spend ‘only’ about 7 million euros at the end of a long and stressful negotiation to bring Tomas Palacios from Argentina to Europe, from next summer it will be possible to carry out operations like Lautaro Martinez.
The striker, who was signed in the summer of 2018, arrived for a fee of around 25 million euros, a financial ‘risk’ that Inter could not afford in recent years despite the numerous South American football talents spotted by their own scouts. A situation that the black-and-blue club will soon be able to leave definitively behind, giving life to a new era.
