With the sale of Tomas Palacios nearing completion towards Santos, Inter could once again become active in the transfer market. The Nerazzurri club, in fact, could still finalize a defensive signing to numerically replace the departure of the Argentine center-back.
According to reports today in Turkey from Gazeta Arena, Inter’s directors are about to close the signing of a young talent who has been on their radar for weeks. This is Yusuf Akçiçek, a 2006-born center-back from Fenerbahce for whom a Nerazzurri offer of around 17 million euros was already rejected in recent days.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Inter has deepened contacts in recent hours and is considering a counteroffer of over 20 million euros, leaving Fenerbahce a 10% share on any future resale. The negotiation is advanced and the parties could reach an agreement this week for the transfer of Akçiçek to the Nerazzurri shirt.
This is the rumor launched in Turkey after the latest contacts: “Fenerbahce central defender Yusuf Akçiçek is on his way to Inter! The young Fenerbahçe defender, Yusuf Akçiçek, has been contacted by Inter. The transfer is expected to be completed this week.”
