The nerazzurro sports center in Appiano Gentile will undergo a profound transformation over the next two years. Inter has decided to invest around 100 million euros in a comprehensive project of construction, modernization, and renovation of the facilities, resources that will not affect the budget allocated for the transfer market.
Work for the first team is already underway. By the end of the Asian tour, a new building entirely dedicated to the main squad players will be completed, which will include a recovery area with a rehabilitation pool, a new locker room, sauna, and Turkish bath. The project is part of a process started in 2019 with the Inter Club House.
At the same time, the building that currently hosts press conferences will be renovated: the new room will have a capacity of 80 people. For the athletes’ mental well-being, a collaboration is planned with Professor Ceccarelli from MET (Mental Economy Training), a professional who also works with Sinner.
The renewal plan also involves other components of the club. Starting next October, construction will begin on a new building for the Under 23, equipped with a gym, offices, and dedicated spaces. A covered grandstand with a hospitality room will be built, and a fifth pitch, currently non-existent, will be added.
Interello has also undergone interventions: a new building for the women’s team has already been built and, before autumn, a new covered grandstand will be erected to complete the match fields. The entire project is expected to be completed within a couple of years.
