The president of Inter, Beppe Marotta, spoke to Dazn microphones before the match against Napoli at San Siro. Among the topics discussed were the title race, the future of Lautaro Martinez, and contract renewals within the Nerazzurri club.
According to Marotta, the fight for the title is not just between two teams: “Is Napoli the anti-Inter? In my opinion, it’s not just Napoli and not just Inter, there are also Roma, Juve, and others that I absolutely do not want to forget, even Como is a very prestigious outsider.” The Nerazzurri president emphasized the team’s awareness, while also highlighting the difficulties: “Winning is difficult, confirming yourself is even more difficult, but to remain in history we must confirm ourselves again. We are the team to beat and the difficulties increase.”
On the renewal front, the president announced the opening of a dialogue phase with the agents: “We have respect for all our players, we will soon begin consultations with the players’ agents to listen to their requests. If a player shows a great sense of belonging, this value must be respected and together we will try to reach a renewal.”
Finally, on the topic of Lautaro and Barcelona, Marotta stated: “This is true but our response was very firm and Lautaro also expressed to us his intention to continue with us, he represents the present and future history of Inter, long life to him.”
