Luca Di Maggio spoke for the first time as a player of Avellino. The midfielder, born in 2005, who grew up in the youth sector of Inter and is coming off a season on loan at Padova, was purchased outright during the summer and is now at the training camp in Rivisondoli with his new team.

The former Under 23 Nerazzurri player explained how the negotiation developed: “The negotiation was quite quick, as soon as I heard about Avellino’s interest I didn’t hesitate to make this choice.”

The young midfielder then revealed his role model: “Yes, I am inspired by Barella, for me he is a source of inspiration but I try to avoid these comparisons, I still have not much but a lot to prove. How do you become like him? You must never lack the desire to go to the pitch every day with the hunger of someone who wants to improve physically, tactically, mentally, only in this way can you achieve personal satisfaction not only in football but also in life.”
