Boniek on Inter and the Scudetto: “Only they can lose it, they are superior to everyone”

The battle for the championship inevitably goes through Inter, the absolute favorite according to Boniek. The former player, speaking on Retesport, gave a clear overview of the current season, placing the Nerazzurri above all their competitors.

“Only Inter can lose the championship, they are superior to all the others,” Boniek declared. “In midfield they have strong players. It already happened when Milan won, Inter was the strongest and then let go, the same happened with Napoli.” A warning, therefore, more than a certainty: history teaches that the values on the field are not enough if concentration drops.

On the role of the chasers, his judgment is nuanced. “Roma must be ready if Inter should have a drop, but I don’t believe it because they have a strong and complete team,” he added. Words of praise also for Lazio, commended for their performance so far compared to initial expectations: “I congratulate Lazio, who deserve applause for their current position in the standings, considering the initial premises.”

However, regarding the Biancocelesti, Boniek remains cautious: “Now it’s a team that is playing well, but I don’t think they can win the championship, though they can have a good season.” Finally, no room for theories about distractions: “You can’t talk about distractions or anything else.”
