After the postponement of the last championship match against Fiorentina due to Bove’s illness, Inter returns to the field today in an attempt to catch up with Napoli who extended their lead in the standings last weekend, taking advantage of Inter’s postponed match which leaves them a game down for yet a few more months.

Today, Simone Inzaghi and his team host Parma, an opponent that will not be easy to beat given they have already held to draws against Fiorentina, Milan, Juventus and Lazio. There are also previous results that worry Inter and do not offer much optimism for today’s match.

A victory at San Siro against Parma hasn’t been achieved since 2013, a gap of well over eleven years. However, it should be noted that during this time, the Duchy team spent several seasons in Serie B or even lower following their bankruptcy, resulting in this match not being played every year.

Nevertheless, in the last five matches played at Meazza against Inter, Parma has been able to achieve one win and four draws. A decidedly negative trend that scares Inter fans who, after more than eleven years, are eager to celebrate a three-point win at San Siro against the yellow-blue team.
