Denzel Dumfries was quite honest during the interview released on the pages of Ziggo Sport. The Dutch winger, who recently officially renewed his contract with Inter until June 2028, revealed the details of the long negotiation that went on for months with the Inter club before the signature. This is an excerpt from his interview in which he also relived the fright he experienced last Sunday during Bove’s indisposition in Fiorentina-Inter.
THE RENEWAL – It took a long time. Of course, we had to wait for the new ownership to take over. We negotiated for a long time, but in the end, I am proud and happy to have signed here. I think it was not easy for them and neither for me. This made things a little difficult, it took a bit more time than usual. We can beat around the bush, but in the end, it’s also a matter of money.
I ENJOY – I am 28 years old, and this is an important moment for me. The club has always been good to me. In the end, we are both very happy. I am enjoying myself very much, my intention is to stay until 2028.
BOVE – It was a huge shock. We were at a moment when everyone was talking about whether the ball had gone out of the field or not on my cross because we had scored a goal and suddenly I saw him fall to the ground. At that moment I realized the situation, and everyone responded quickly.
