As has often happened in recent years, the deputy sports director of Inter, Dario Baccin, spent several days in South America for a full-fledged transfer expedition. The black and blue executive, in fact, was tasked with closely scouting some of the best talents in Argentine football and beyond.

While waiting to discover the qualities of Tomas Palacios, a young defender signed by Inter last summer after being spotted on one of Baccin’s trips, among the best examples of the black and blue club’s scouting work in South America in recent years remains Lautaro Martinez. The forward, known in Europe during his time at Racing de Avellaneda, was followed by other top clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Los Blancos will once again be rivals of the black and blue for one of the most important names in the Inter expedition to Argentina. We are talking about Franco Mastantuono, a gem from River Plate with a release clause of 41 million euros.

In addition to the very strong playmaker born in 2007, this morning the Corriere dello Sport mentioned other profiles that were scouted by Baccin on his trip to South America. From Marco Di Cesare, a 22-year-old central defender owned by Racing, to another defender like Tobias Ramires, an 18-year-old from Argentinos Juniors who is currently sidelined due to a muscle injury.

Inter, finally, has its sights set on two other rising stars. The first is Thiago Fernandez, an attacking winger from Velez Sarsfield who is also being followed by Liverpool. The second is Gonzalo Petit, a less known profile than the previous ones but very talented: a Uruguayan attacker born in 2004 who plays for Nacional.
