In an official statement released late in the afternoon, Inter took all their fans by surprise. By 11:59 PM today, the Nerazzurri club – like all other teams – was expected to submit the official UEFA list of players available for the next Champions League.

Contrary to the eve’s predictions, Inter chose to exclude newcomer Tomas Palacios and Tucu Correa. The real surprise, in fact, concerns the inclusion of Tajon Buchanan: the Canadian winger, who underwent tibia surgery last July following a severe injury sustained in the National team, was among the major omissions from this list due to his rather long recovery time.

The inclusion of Buchanan in the list of Inter players who will play the new edition of the Champions League 2024/25 thus suggests that the player’s return to the field may be brought forward by a few weeks. Initially expected for the end of November, the former Bruges could speed up the stages and return as early as October.
