Inter has officially communicated to Uefa the list of 23 footballers who can participate in the upcoming Champions League. As anticipated in recent hours, there are two major exclusions in the list presented by the Nerazzurri club that will not be available to Simone Inzaghi for the eight matches of the championship phase.

Before reporting the list announced by Inter, let’s remember the presentation criteria that forced the Nerazzurri club to cut two big ones:

At least 8 players on the list must be “Italian trained players” (i.e. belonging to the national youth team) and of these eight at least 4 must be “players trained in the club”.

Contrary to the rules for Serie A, Under 22s do not count unless they have been part of the club for two years in a row from the age of 15 onwards and therefore go into list B (unlimited);

In addition to these general criteria, a clarification must be added: Alessandro Bastoni, contrary to the rules set for the Italian championship, is not considered by Uefa Inter Nursery, having grown up mainly in Atalanta as Under 22. Only from next January will it be possible to modify the list presented today, inserting up to a maximum of three new players for the final stages of the competition.
