Piero Ausilio‘s stay at Inter could end sooner than expected. According to Ivan Zazzaroni, director of the Corriere dello Sport, it cannot be ruled out that the relationship may end even before January, anticipating the natural expiration of the contract.
The executive has already expressed his intention not to renew his agreement with the Nerazzurri club, bringing to an end a professional relationship that has lasted 28 years. Now it remains to be seen whether the farewell will take place at the expected expiration or a few months earlier. “I do not rule out that the relationship could end before January,” Zazzaroni stated.
Despite the decision to turn the page, Ausilio completed the summer transfer window with his usual commitment. “With his contract expiring, Piero still completed a transfer market appreciated by everyone, his twelfth,” the journalist emphasized, highlighting the professionalism shown by the executive until the very end.
The assessment of the work done is unequivocal: “I consider Ausilio one of the two best sporting directors in Italian football, the other is Paratici. I believe that change could benefit him. New goals, new interlocutors, new language.” For Zazzaroni, therefore, a new professional challenge could represent a positive stimulus after such a long cycle with the Nerazzurri.
The executive’s future now seems far from Inter. The only unknown concerns the timing of the farewell, which could materialize in the coming months rather than waiting for the natural conclusion of the contractual relationship.
