Inter continues to work on Cristian Romero. This is confirmed by market expert Fabrizio Romano, who spoke on his YouTube channel to provide an update on the Nerazzurri’s operations after the statements from sporting director Piero Ausilio.
The Milan club maintains direct contact with both Tottenham and the agents of the Argentine defender. The discussions concern both the player’s salary and the transfer fee. It is a complex negotiation that will require time, as Ausilio himself pointed out, but the interest in the player is concrete and significant.
Romano reiterated what he had already anticipated a couple of weeks ago: the track leading to Romero is real and the Nerazzurri club is working tirelessly to try to close the deal.
On the Ivan Perisic front, however, there are confirmations of the official denials. Inter had indeed considered the Croatian winger during the January window, but PSV did not let him go. Today the club is making other evaluations and the track is no longer relevant.
