Trevisani on Inter: first in the standings despite Lautaro and Thuram

Riccardo Trevisani analyzed the moment of Inter in the studios of Pressing, after the victory against Cagliari. The journalist emphasized how the Nerazzurri maintain the lead despite some strikers not yet being at their best.

“And I add that Inter is among the top with Lautaro and Thuram who are non-factors: Inter is first with Lautaro and Thuram at 0 goals,” said Trevisani. The journalist then drew a comparison with the big European teams: “Bayern Munich and PSG when they play against the smaller teams, besides scoring 7 goals, they win: last year Inter won all the matches against the teams in the right column.”

According to Trevisani, the team has regained the pace of last season: “And this year they have started again with the same rhythm: and if you consider them with 30 points in the first half and 30 in the second, they are already at 60. With the others, therefore, it is enough to do as last year, even losing many direct clashes, to find themselves at 90 points. If you draw those and win with the others, you go at another pace.”

The journalist then focused on Martinez: “In what does the upgrade with Martinez compared to Sommer consist? First of all, the hands: jokes aside, he is very ready on high balls.” Trevisani highlighted the goalkeeper’s growth: “And then he is a goalkeeper who over time is gaining confidence: he has always played little, but he has started to keep clean sheets and make appearances, he seems very calm to me. He will make mistakes, but Inter has a better goalkeeper than last year, who got 90-plus points: I don’t know how many he can get this year.”
