Stones to Inter, Capello expresses his doubts about the English defender

Fabio Capello has expressed some reservations about Inter‘s transfer market, with particular reference to one of the new signings. The former coach, speaking in the Sky Sport studios, commented on Inter’s transfer campaign, focusing on a specific name.

According to Capello, the transfer strategy was well thought out and brought in players capable of strengthening the squad. The new arrivals will perform at San Siro with the same ease they showed in England and will bring more competitiveness, intensity, and experience to the team.

However, the former coach expressed doubts about John Stones. “Someone doesn’t convince me for the role he was brought in for, and I’ll say the name right away, Stones: he was an excellent player at City and was often used in midfield. He can be very good at building up from the back, but defensively he can leave a bit to be desired,” he said.

Capello also spoke ahead of the match against Real Madrid. According to him, it is the right lineup, believing the team’s attitude will be correct as they will have to take advantage of the spaces to surprise Real, while warning of the dangers posed by the opponents’ speed on the counterattack.
