Inter has finalized the signing of Roberts Apsits, a young Latvian goalkeeper born in 2006, coming from Virtus Francavilla. According to Sky Sport, the deal has been completed and the player is ready to begin his adventure with the Nerazzurri.

Apsits guarded the goal for Virtus Francavilla last season, managing to secure the starting spot from the very first matches. The Milan club has already planned his development path: the goalkeeper will be sent on loan to Serie C to gain experience, before assessing his progress and future prospects.

The Latvian made 23 appearances and kept 10 clean sheets in Group H of Serie D with Virtus Francavilla. Raised at Valmiera, a team from his home country, he made his first-team debut at just 17 years old, already showing his qualities between the posts.

In the summer of 2024, he arrived in Italy, signed by Gelbison, a Serie D team from Campania, where he played 14 matches in total between the league and Coppa Italia, standing out and attracting the attention of Nerazzurri scouts. Now, the doors of the Inter project are open for him, with the goal of continuing his growth in Italian football.
