Marotta on the eve of the Australian tour: objective fans

Inter is preparing for the first Australian tour in its history. The Nerazzurri will travel to Perth for a tour that will see the team face Milan on August 5 and Juventus on August 8, with both matches at the Optus Stadium. Two great challenges of Italian football scheduled on the other side of the world, an opportunity for Nerazzurri supporters living in Australia to see their team up close.

The news was reported by Paolo Gallo on SBSItalian, the Italian-language broadcaster that airs throughout Australia. Gallo also gathers statements from Beppe Marotta, president of the Nerazzurri club, who emphasizes that their presence in Australia does not start from scratch: “The club in fact has two Inter Academies involving hundreds of children and teenagers, and four Inter Clubs, with a particularly strong presence right in Perth. The goal is to spread our brand, our history, and our values, but at the same time to get closer to those who are the beating heart of our club: our fans,” explains Marotta to the microphones of SBS Italian.

The Australian tour comes in a special year for the Nerazzurri president, who is celebrating 50 years of his career in the world of football. His journey began at just 19 years old, when the owner of Varese, Guido Borghi, entrusted him with a role in the youth sector. Since then, he has gained experience in numerous clubs, including Monza, Varese, Venezia, Sampdoria, Juventus, and Inter.

The final message is addressed directly to the fans living on the other side of the world: “The opportunity to be in Perth is perhaps unique and must be seized by us in the best possible way, also as a form of gratitude towards those who over the years have placed so much trust in us.”
