During the upcoming summer, Inter will need to refresh its squad with some young and talented additions in order to lower the overall average age of the roster currently managed by coach Simone Inzaghi. One of the areas likely to undergo major changes is the offensive line, where apart from Lautaro Martinez, and possibly Marcus Thuram, no player’s permanence for next year is guaranteed.
An update from the broadcasts on the Calciomercato.it YouTube channel indicates a new transfer target for Inter: Marcos Leonardo. Currently, the Brazilian forward plays for Al-Hilal together with Milinkovic-Savic, Cancelo, and Koulibaly and could be attracted by a possible return to Europe. A budget of approximately 45 million euros might be dedicated to acquire this striker.
He hasn’t closed the door on returning to Europe; some scouts have inquired about the price, but no negotiations have begun yet. Regarding his salary, he earns around €5 million plus bonuses, so it’s not out of reach. He is a profile also being tracked by Premier League clubs, but he could be ideal for Inter since he can play both as a main forward and as a second striker. He had previously been very close to signing for Roma.
