At Penzo, much more than a match between the first and last in the standings will take place. Venezia–Inter, scheduled for tomorrow evening, brings with it a challenge within the challenge: the one between the Stankovic brothers, Filip and Aleksandar, sons of Dejan, according to Tuttosport.
Filip, born in 2002, is a regular starter between the posts for the lagoon team. Eight appearances out of eight in Serie A, 17 goals conceded and only one clean sheet — the decisive one in the team’s only victory under Nicola, 1-0 against Napoli — but performances that have earned him widespread praise. On several occasions he has prevented heavier defeats for his team, establishing himself as one of the cornerstones of the Venetian defense.
The goalkeeper nurtures a dream rooted in his childhood: to one day return as a starter at Appiano Gentile, the Nerazzurri sports center. A dream not without concrete foundations: Inter retains a 50% share on the player’s future resale by Venezia.
The path of his brother Aleksandar is different, who — again according to Tuttosport — after experiences with Lucerne and especially with Bruges has returned to base, finding his mentor Chivu. Since he was very young, he had the habit of diving everywhere, even at home, driven by the dream of guarding the posts of the club on Viale della Liberazione.
Two parallel stories, two different trajectories, one surname that tomorrow evening will inevitably be at the center of the scene.
