Lautaro Martinez’s official injury, as announced in recent hours by the Argentine National Team, has shaken the Inter world. The Nerazzurri striker has already left the Argentina team’s training camp and is heading back to Milan.

Once back in Italy, Lautaro will undergo further instrumental examinations to better ascertain the severity of the hamstring injury. According to the forecasts reported this morning by Corriere dello Sport, the Inter captain is expected to miss Simone Inzaghi’s team’s first two matches following the international break: the Serie A match against Udinese and the first leg of the Italian Cup semifinal against Milan.

Lautaro could therefore rejoin his teammates for the match against Parma on April 5; however, at that point the real goal would become the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals away against Bayern Munich on April 8. At the moment, these remain simply hypothetical scenarios, which will be confirmed or disproved following additional medical examinations.
