Regarding Thuram, the situation doesn’t appear too alarming: the striker has been dealing with ankle discomfort for approximately one month, and as a precaution, coach Deschamps chose not to risk his condition unnecessarily. However, the scenario is different for Dumfries, who suffered an injury in the last league match between Atalanta and Inter.
Initial examinations performed in the Netherlands revealed a muscular problem in his right thigh that could sideline him longer than initially expected. To gain further clarity, Inter will carry out additional tests on the player over the weekend, aiming to fully understand the severity of the injury. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the feeling is that Dumfries may miss the first two matches after the break against Udinese in Serie A and Milan in the Coppa Italia.
