John Stones has accepted Inter‘s offer: a two-year contract at 4.5 million euros net per season plus bonuses. The commissions destined for intermediaries and agents will not exceed 3 million euros. However, the closing of the deal with the English defender has not stopped contacts between Piero Ausilio and the entourage of Cristian Romero, with whom talks remain open.

According to Tuttosport, if the departure of Benjamin Pavard for a sum between 12 and 15 million euros materializes, the management at Viale della Liberazione will not target an expensive profile. The idea would be to go “for a low-cost profile, like Acerbi in 2022, but younger,” writes the Turin-based newspaper.

The available budget, about 40 million euros plus the proceeds from the likely sales of Frattesi, Asllani and Akinsanmiro, would be reserved for the right winger, still to be identified, and for Curtis Jones. The Liverpool midfielder is Cristian Chivu‘s favorite to strengthen the midfield. The English club, however, continues to demand 40 million euros even in late August, explains Tuttosport.
