The Nerazzurri management continues its search for a replacement for Denzel Dumfries. After the Palestra and Khalaili options failed to yield concrete results, Piero Ausilio will join the training camp in Donaueschingen to meet with Cristian Chivu and take stock of the various options available.

Djed Spence remains the first choice. Tottenham could let him go for a significant offer, but after a good World Cup his valuation has risen to around 35-40 million euros. The player likes Inter and Chivu appreciates him, but the coach would prefer a winger more specialized on the right, able to beat his man and make a greater impact in terms of goals and assists.

Among the most interesting profiles is Givairo Read from Feyenoord, a young player with great potential who, in terms of characteristics, recalls Dumfries when he arrived from the Netherlands. Vanderson from Monaco is also highly regarded and is valued at around 30 million. Both would represent significant investments, but with potential future value also in terms of player trading.

Guela Doué is also being monitored, for whom Strasbourg is asking about 40 million. However, his profile might be considered too defensive compared to Chivu’s needs. Further behind are Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Rafik Belghali. The latter was proposed by Verona, but at the moment does not seem to be among the top choices.

The club therefore continues to evaluate without haste: Spence remains in front, but the final decision will depend on costs, technical characteristics, and growth potential.
