Roma (which is looking for a winger) has inquired about Destiny Udogie, a former Serie A player now at Tottenham. According to Fabrizio Romano in his latest video on Youtube, the fate of the winger could intersect with that of Djed Spence, whose name has strongly reappeared on Inter‘s radar.
The Giallorossi are looking for reinforcement on the flank and have tested the waters for Udogie, but the Spurs need to decide their outgoing priorities. The English club cannot afford to let both wingers go without planning adequate replacements. If two players in the same area of the pitch were to leave, Tottenham would necessarily have to intervene in the transfer market for incoming players.
Inter has rekindled its interest in Spence after Denzel Dumfries ended up at Real Madrid. The trail had cooled following the Englishman’s excellent performances at the World Cup with the national team, which had driven up his price. The Nerazzurri are not willing to pay 40-45 million euros outright, but could make an offer if the asking price drops to around 30 million plus 5 in bonuses or with a similar structure.
Tottenham’s evaluations regarding the sale of Udogie will directly influence the negotiations for Spence. The Spurs need to balance departures with the technical needs of the squad, making the two dossiers closely linked.
